1014029 014_Si_029 ENDF/B-VI MOD 3 Revision, November 1999, N.M. Larson (ORNL)
For this revision, the format change adopted by CSEWG
(November, 1999) to provide channel-spin information for
Reich-Moore resonance parameters is in use.
[When the value for AJ is negative, the lower value for the
channel spin is to be used; when AJ is positive, the higher
value for channel spin is to be used; for AJ = 0, the
channel spin is equal to the orbital angular momentum.
In all cases the total angular momentum is given by the
absolute value of parameter AJ.]
In all other respects, this revision is identical to the
MOD 2 evaluation.
COVARIANCES, July, 2011, S. Hoblit, BNL
New BNL estimates in the resonances region were obtained with
the kernel approach. We note that resonance region for Si
extends to fairly high energies, in particular for 28-Si up
to 2.7 MeV. Included in our evaluation were resonance parameter
uncertainties taken over from Atlas of Neutron Resonances.
Dominant contribution to elastic scattering uncertainties
comes from the uncertainty of the scattering radius R'.
Covariances in the resonance region were merged with the
covariances in the fast neutron region taken from the
ENDF/B-VI.8. We reviewed the latter data and concluded
that they are reasonable with the exception of MT=104
covariances which were considered to be problematic
and hence they have been removed.
Oct 22,2004, Holly Trellue remade mf6mt5 using corrected gnash
code, to fix an earlier bug. Impact is reduced sec. particle prod.
